The Founders aim to establish a Trust dedicated to leveraging advanced Internet of Things (AIoT) solutions, real-time monitoring, and data analytics to safeguard valuable assets such as humans and nature in Himachal Pradesh and beyond. The Trust’s initial focus is on empowering government bodies and organizations to address critical issues, including combating drug abuse among school children and youth, mitigating forest fires, preventing illegal deforestation and mining, and promoting sustainability using AI tools and scientific networks. Additionally, the Trust will empower communities through knowledge sharing, technology, and skill development, provide consultancy for sustainable development, and serve as a repository of expertise to drive innovation, efficiency, and long-term productivity.

To establish a reliable 24/7 AIoT sensor network, a systematic approach is critical
Key Steps:
Technical Architecture:
The system consists of end devices, gateways, and network servers. Gateways facilitate communication between devices and the server, which handles data traffic and security. Key components include:
LoRaWAN-equipped sensors for applications like smoke detection and tracking.
Gateways relaying data via TCP/IP to a centralized network server.
Application servers for data processing, analytics, and secure HTTPS access.
Execution Strategy:
Implementing a LoRaWAN solution in Shimla serves as a scalable model for expanding IoT ecosystems across cities, emphasizing local engagement, robust infrastructure, and long-term sustainability.
Stage 1: Minimum Viable Solution (MVS)
Coverage: 2 sq. km with 10 forest sensors and 3 gateways.
Focus: Testing hardware capabilities in a Shimla school (10 students) and forest areas.

Stage 2: Pilot Phase
Coverage: 40 sq. km (Shimla city) with 40+ gateways.
Focus: Supporting 8 schools (~10,000 students), Shimla forest division, and Solan pine forests.
Goal: Scalability and reliability for broader deployment.
